LAGOS JUDGES SET TO BEGIN EASTER VACATION

The Lagos State Chief Judge, Hon.Justice Olufunmilayo Atilade has approved Friday 14th to Friday 21st of April, 2017 as Easter holiday for all Judges of the State High Court.

A statement signed by the Acting Chief Registrar of the High Court of Lagos State Mrs D.T.Olatokun, stated that the Chief Judge approved the break pursuant to order 45, Rule 4(A)&(B) of the High Court of Lagos State Civil Procedure Rules 2012.

According to the statement, Hon.Justice Olufunmilayo Atilade has made arrangements for dealing with urgent cases during the break by directing Judges to preside over all urgent applications related to any substantive case already assigned to them.
The statement further specified that in line with the provisions of Order 45 Rule 4, any matter may be heard by a Judge during the Easter vacation where such a case is urgent and provided that the conditions prescribed by Order 45 Rule 5 is observe and complied with.

It, however, noted that all Judges are expected to resume on Monday, the 24th of April, 2017
