LASG PROSECUTES CAMEROONIAN HOUSE CLEANER FOR MURDER

The Lagos State Government, through the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, has begun the prosecution of a Cameroonian murder suspect, Leudjou Joel at the State High Court, Igbosere.

The 21-year old male house cleaner is being prosecuted for stabbing to death his employer, Miss Dayo Eniola at her residence – 15, Prince Tayo Adesanya Street, Park View Estate, Ikoyi – on 20th December 2016 and was arraigned before Justice Akintoye of the State High Court, Igbosere on Monday 20th November 2017.

At the hearing of the matter, the State Attorney-General and Commissioner, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem who is leading the prosecution, stated that the Suspect is being arraigned for murder while requesting the suspect be remanded in prison custody pending commencement of trial for the heinous crime.

Justice Akintoye, subsequently ordered that Leudjou Joel is remanded in custody at the Ikoyi Prison pending commencement of trial on 18th January 2018.

The story of the murder of a 33-year old spinster, Dayo Eniola, by her domestic house cleaner, who stabbed her repeatedly for refusing to meet his request for a salary advance at her Park View Estate residence, Ikoyi was first made public by a newspaper publication last year.
